7/9/2023 0 Comments Amplitube 4 mac crack![]() I mean, sure, you can spot the differences, but at the end of the day, they don't sound that different from each other when running through the same cabinet. These are real, tube amps that sound remarkably similar to each other. ![]() Here's a glaring example of what i'm talking about: You see guitarists raving on about this or that amp, this or that pedal, but really, the difference between various pieces of gear is not that big. However, that perception is completely incorrect.įirst of all, this may come as a surprise to you, but most gear sounds the same. Kuassa also has a bunch of stomp pedal plugins (overdrive, distortion, fuzz, a few modulation FX and a wah pedal - all bought separately, but still coming in cheaper than Amplitube MAX), which complement their amps very well.ĭon't get me wrong - i understand why you're looking towards Amplitube: variety seems great, and all those big brand endorsements make it seem like Amplitube stuff is quality, and it seems like it has so much stuff that it'll keep you occupied for all eternity. They're far easier to work with than Amplitube, and they too have standalone versions. Kuassa Creme is a ready-made high-gain amp (it's a bit finicky to work with though, and really lacks a post-EQ, but you can get that elsewhere), Kuassa Caliburn is a one-stop-shop for all things Marshall, and Kuassa Vermillion excels at Fender-style clean and crunchy sounds. Still, from bang for buck point of view, i highly recommend Kuassa stuff as an all-round collection of guitar amps and FX. If you don't want to learn to use a DAW (as in, if you have no intention of ever recording yourself) - maybe something like Kushview Element would be easier to work with. If you want something more crunchy/mid gain, there's plenty of free stuff to go around as well - Black Rooster Audio's Cypress TT-15 comes to mind. ![]() If you're just starting out, you might as well just start with the free stuff - for example, the recently released Ignite Amps Emissary 2.0 would be a perfect starting point for higher gain sounds. There is a whole world of amp sims out there. You'll thank me later.Īpologies for the delayed response, but i thought i'd expand on what i said to help you in your research. If you are going to use Amplitube, my advice - get some decent impulses. It's not that it sounds bad - it's just that it takes way more effort to get good tones out of it, so I don't bother anymore - why would I, when Caliburn sounds just as good (if not better) with one tenth of an effort? I used to be a big Amplitube user - nowadays I only use it for the whammy. Couple them with Kuassa stomps, and you got a winner tone. It's in similar vein - there's only five amps, but I find that those provide enough versatility for days. One other sim I highly recommend checking out is S-Gear. I highly recommend checking those out before you buy into Amplitube. Caliburn alone can pretty much do anything in conjuction with Kuassa stomp pedals, and Vermillion will get you those cleans if you want some. I would say that for versatility and ease of use, Kuassa stuff can't be beat. Right now I only use two - Kuassa Caliburn for when I want to play, and Mercuriall ReAxis when I'm jamming (Caliburn doesn't provide good metal tones out of the box, while ReAxis excels at those, and everything else is good enough - versatility is more important in that situation. And you're paying for all that shit!Īlso, serious question: do you really need all that stuff? Over time I arrived at a point where I don't need 100500 amps and effects for my tone. Cabinets are especially problematic in Amplitube because there like a hundred of them, but only like four or five sound decent - all the rest either sound muffled or fizzy, or even somehow manage to do both. In my opinion the Max version isn't worth the money.Īmplitube itself can be great if you know how to cook it, but there's a lot of legacy crap included from like Amplitube 2.x days which don't sound remotely as good as more recent stuff.
